On April 13th, Sichuan welcomed the “Super Weekend” of marathons.
Five marathon races, including the 2025 Wenjiang Half Marathon and “Running Across Sichuan” (Wenjiang Station), the 2025 Third Dong’an Lake Half Marathon, the 2025 Chengdu Pujiang Half Marathon, the 2025 Hejiang Half Marathon and “Running Across Sichuan” (Luzhou Station), and the 2025 Dazhou Marathon and “Running Across Sichuan” (Dazhou Station), were simultaneously launched, setting new records for the number, scale, and number of participants in a single day marathon race in Sichuan.
More than 40000 running enthusiasts gathered in the Land of Abundance, painting a spring scene of “sports+cultural tourism+consumption” with the posture of running, highlighting the vigorous development of Sichuan’s national fitness industry, becoming a new engine to leverage regional economy, and injecting surging momentum into the spring consumption market.
