Yao Fei has served as the Political Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, the Public Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, the Acting Charg é d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, and the Minister Counsellor of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In October 2023, appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Quanzhou Municipal People’s Government, in charge of the Municipal Government Foreign Affairs Office.
