I used to use ceramic tiles as a benchmark at home.
But indoor running has many limitations.
After understanding the error, I realized that it was an illusion.
So, let’s assume that the system determines that the running time is 85cm.
In fact, the principle of this error is simple: the indoor distance is not the real distance.
When I ran, my stride was about 60 cm, which was the same as when I walked.
Maybe this sentence should be reversed: under a very low heart rate, you can have a higher speed! The direct manifestation is that the running power score analyzed on the third party platform appears to be rapidly improved and very good-looking.
Take two examples.
If we say that the analysis coordinate of running is usually time as the abscissa and speed as the ordinate (the speed of running is closely related to the current intensity, so it is often evolved to take heart rate as the ordinate).
It may break through 1 meter when it is fast, but that state should be more intense.
One is an example of normal running in the open air.
Since then, when exercising indoors, there has been no such thing as running.
In the process of home running, I found that the “performance” was much better than the previous winter training.
For example, at the beginning of 2020, before May of that year, I believe that the vast majority of runners spent their time in foot ban.
For example, when walking, it is about 60cm, and when running, it is between 85-90cm according to different intensity, and so on.
When I saw myself scurrying up during the indoor running, I was glad to think that my physical fitness was still improving under such training conditions.
Specifically, compared with the outdoor records, the heart rate at the same speed is often much lower when running indoors.
If we think that the recorded “step number” is not likely to have a large error, then the problem lies in the step distance.
So in indoor exercise, the horizontal coordinate of time is constant, but the intensity coordinate has two situations: one is the heart rate when continuous aerobic exercise.
This leads to another topic: Is it feasible if we artificially set a stride with a high probability of occurrence (such as 60 cm) according to the habit of indoor running? I did make this setting in the app of my own device, but it didn’t work because the “self setting step” provided by it is for “walking”, and it doesn’t work in “running”.
In the early three years of the epidemic, I also had the experience of running in the balcony and living room, and then I did not have it.
If it is an indoor track and field field, or on a treadmill, it should be able to maintain the running posture (step frequency and stride) when running outdoors.
The time of both examples is 52 minutes.
The built-in acceleration sensor of the watch is used to identify the number of steps.
Another state is when the heart rate has no reference significance (such as strength training).
Therefore, I believe that when the open motion module is “running”, under the premise that there is no GPS to calculate the distance indoors, the device should still take the average step distance of normal running (or the “most commonly used step distance” according to the normal distribution) to calculate the distance run indoors.
The specific running method is to reserve heart rate of 2-3 zones for half an hour, and reserve heart rate of 4 zones for the second half of an hour.
.
Even if it is actually a way to relax or warm up by running back and forth for a long time in the room, I would rather record it as “aerobic exercise” rather than “running”.
During the period of “centralized isolation for X days after arriving at the destination” implemented almost three years ago, some sports talents were running in the isolated hotel rooms at the destination.
This should be relatively mature.
There may be some errors between different products, but it is generally based on vibration or swing induction, which is relatively simple.
At this time, the ordinate is the muscle stimulation intensity.
Maybe (this is my guess) the system also follows the principle of normal distribution based on the analysis and memory of big data, and is not based on the “extreme state”.
This “result” is quoted because it is not true and is much better than the actual result based on GPS records in the same period.
In a word, speed has nothing to do with indoor sports.
However, in an ordinary room, no matter how big or small the balcony or living room is, or the room in an isolated hotel (no matter the presidential suite or the ordinary room), it is impossible for the runners to have the conditions to run open, and the pace must be much lower than the conventional one (taking this case as an example, assuming 85 cm).
The “results” of indoor running often have holes.
We have been running for a long time with gps recording distance, and the system gradually “knows” our average step distance.
It is reasonable to say that Lao Wei adheres to the health concept of “moving is better than not moving” – although he hardly recognizes the function of “strengthening the body” in the form of extremely low-intensity sports, at least, “moving” also has the function of activating muscles and bones and helping digestion – how can he keep the concept of “never running indoors again”? The reason is that the error of indoor running is too large.
Lao Wang has opened a video number ▲ Follow Lao Wang and share a little running knowledge every day ▲ I believe that many people have experienced indoor running, whether because of the weather or the control measures in the past few years, or because of their own schedule.
Because of the indoor conditions, the intensity of running is very low (the heart rate is very low), and the calculated distance is the step frequency multiplied by the actually exaggerated step distance (we said that for a relatively mature runner, the change of step frequency is very small), which leads to the phenomenon that “the heart rate is very low, but the speed is still very fast” when running indoors.
Even the average person who doesn’t travel will probably try it in the living room and balcony as long as possible.
